The Studio Marin is a Classical Pilates studio and boutique in San Rafael's West End Village. Instructors at The Studio Marin have all completed a rigorous Classical Pilates training program. Classical Pilates is a full body workout that both stretches and strengthens at the same time, with a deep emphasis on the core. No muscle is ever over-trained or under-trained. It improves joint mobility and flexibility, posture, and balance. Connecting your body and mind creates a more unified and healthy body. The boutique at The Studio Marin sells the latest in athletic apparel from popular brands such as Alo Yoga and Splits59. We are proud to sell jewelry by Olivia Moray and perfume oils from ELAIA, both locally women-owned businesses.
Sarah is originally from Sonoma County. In 2011 she moved to New York City to begin training in the world renowned re:AB Classical Pilates program. After teaching at numerous Classical Pilates studios in New York City and in Westchester County, Sarah opened her first Classical Pilates studio in New York in 2016. Sarah is excited to be back home in Northern California and can't wait to help each client at The Studio fall in love with the Classical Pilates method!
Carolyn began studying under Brooke Siler and Cary Regan at re:AB Pilates. After completing over 800 hours of training, she graduated the program and became a senior teacher at re:AB. In March 2014, Carolyn moved from New York City to San Francisco. Carolyn began teaching at Dharmaspace Pilates in March 2014 and in August of 2014, she purchased what is now Keep It Classical Pilates. In September 2016 Carolyn and her family made the move across the Bay to Mill Valley.
